For many of the children we support, access to education and basic care is the difference between a life limited by poverty and one filled with possibility.
Our mission is to provide disadvantaged children and families in Cambodia with the support they need to build brighter, more secure futures.

Sustaining Our Work Today
For many years, Helping Hand Cambodia was supported through individual child sponsorships. While we are no longer in search for new sponsors, our work continues — and the need remains great. Today, general donations are essential to sustaining our programs and ensuring that every child in our care receives the support they need. Your donation allows us to respond flexibly, support all children fairly, and continue our mission with integrity and care.

Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world. About one third of the people live in poverty. Helping Hand operates in the capital Phnom Penh, in one of the poorest communities of the city. We started off with simply sponsoring individual children to enable them to go to school, and have along the way expanded our activities to support the community on a larger scale.
Our activities have expanded from sponsoring individual children's educations to an afterschool facility, in which extra tutoring is provided as well as access to computers and internet; as well as rice, food, and other crucial assistance.
Being a fairly small organization, we are able to ensure that the vast majority (more than 99% of our funding) is spent directly in Cambodia.
